This time, they represented Georgia at the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) held in Bucharest, Romania. This year, the IJSO gathered young talents (aged 16 and under) from 56 countries around the world, and our team proudly brought home a bronze medal! Through these activities, the Georgian-American High School and the Georgian-American School continue to firmly support Georgia's European future and its aspirations to become a fully-fledged member of the Western democratic world.

More About the Visit:

During the Olympiad, numerous activities took place. The delegation visited renowned landmarks and immersed themselves in Romania's dynamic culture and rich history. As an essential part of the Olympiad, participants visited several iconic historical and architectural sites, including Bucharest's esteemed attractions, such as the Palace of Parliament, which stands as the second-largest administrative building in the world.

They embarked on engaging excursions to Bran Castle, famously associated with the Dracula legend, and Peleș Castle, which enchanted everyone with its stunning architecture and luxurious interiors.

Moreover, the students delved into local traditions and savored Romania’s delightful traditional cuisine, making this journey truly memorable. One of the highlights was the cultural evening, where our outstanding students introduced Georgia's unique culture through a traditional Georgian dance, earning great admiration. The cultural evening ended on an emotional note – a joint dance by students from all participating countries on stage symbolized unity, friendship, and global diversity.
