The Georgian National Student Team traveled to the IWISE (World Innovative Student Expo) international conference in the United Kingdom.
From August 14–21, 2023, an international student conference was held at The University of Surrey in England. Established in the 19th century, the university is recognized as one of the top-ranking institutions globally.
Representing Georgia, six students from the Georgian-American School (GAS) and Georgian-American High School (GAHS) participated in the conference, presenting five projects across the sections of Mathematics, Physics, Natural Sciences, and Arts.

The mathematics section was led by Dr. Mamuka Meskhishvili, a Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics.
The IWISE conference welcomed 350 finalist winners from 20 countries. Students from GAS and GAHS presented their projects in English.
The conference's informal program included a variety of activities, sightseeing, and excursions. Participants had the opportunity to visit iconic universities such as Oxford and Cambridge.
The GAS and GAHS teams were guided by their leaders: Mamuka Meskhishvili, Irma Meskhishvili, and Gvantsa Gakhokidze.
